 Member of the Year Awards

Member of the Year Award Program

The P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation Member of the Year Awards are annual awards that recognize and celebrate members who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service to the Seniors Federation or a member club and have contributed to their local or regional communities.

Seniors Federation clubs and members may nomination an individual for a Member of the Year Award by submitting a nomination form to the Seniors Federation office by the deadline.

Adjudication
Nominations for a Member of the Year Award are reviewed by a jury consisting of Seniors Federation Board Members. This is a "blind adjudication" meaning the jury is unaware of the names or residences of nominees. Their decision is based solely upon a grading system with assigned points for nominee's volunteer activities and participation in community and seniors organizations. Awards are usually presented at the PEI Senior Citizens' Federation Annual General Meeting, but may be presented at the General meeting if a recipient is able to attend the AGM.

Eligibility
Nominees for a Member of the Year Award must be:

 - A member in good standing of the P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation for at least 5 years.
 - Nominated by a P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation member or club.

Deadline
Nominations must be submitted on a completed nomination form to the P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation office on or before March 31st. Nominations received after the March 31st deadline will be considered for the following year.

To obtain a full list of eligibility criteria and nomination form, contact the P.E.I. Senior Citizens' Federation office at 902-368-9008.
