Lifetime Membership Awards Program
- Voice for Island Seniors
At a recent meeting of the Federation Board of Directors, a new initiative was
approved to bestow honorary lifetime memberships to those Federation members
who have attained the age of 85 years.

Launched at the General Meeting in November, participation in the “Lifetime
Membership Award” program is available to all Federation clubs.

Mary Ann Bernard of Summerside was the first recipient of the Federation
“Lifetime Membership Award” under this new program.

“Mary Ann joined the Parkview Seniors’ Club four years ago,” explained Parkview
President Joyce McCardle, “and she is one of our most dedicated members.  She
is an active participant in bingo, cards and bus trips . . . last year she went bowling
and beat the socks off of me.”

The Federation will provide framed certificates to members who qualify for a
lifetime membership and, if the club desires, will send a representative to present
the certificate(s) to the recipient.

For additional information, contact the Federation office at (902) 368-9008.
